(By the way, this Weebly blog creation tool is a pain in the neck!)
You may have noticed that we now have our first contestant from outside the USA (India). Praise the Lord! This contest has always been meant for any ensemble in the world to participate in.
I had the privilege of working in Mumbai (then named Bombay), India for a week in January, 1992, in support of the new Air India fleet of Boeing 747-400s. It was an amazing experience, especially the long, daily taxi rides between the hotel and the airport. We stayed at the luxurious Oberoi hotel, the same hotel that was attacked by Islamic terrorists several years later.
We will have (at least) one more World magazine ad going out, in 10,000 magazine copies given out to attendees of the Getty Music Worship Conference Sing! 2019 in Nashville, August 19-21. Our ad will be on the inside back cover, a prized position. Many thanks to Kyle at World Magazine for letting me know about this awesome opportunity. I only had a half-hour to call him back and approve of it before their publication deadline. Of course I said, "go for it!" gettymusicworshipconference.com/
Lastly, perhaps some of you might have become concerned about my dietary welfare after reading my previous post describing my affinity to junk food. Fortunately, there is no need to stage an intervention, as that habit didn't last much longer, and I think my current diet is fairly healthy, to make a long story short. This summer I've been assiduously exercising, trying to lose some weight. It's working, so far!
